ASYURA KARI IKAN
Literally a sour spicy classic Indian fish curry! Kari Ikan or ‘fish curry’ is an Indian dish. It gets a lovely, tangy flavour from the ‘assam’ (tamarind), and is rich with Indian spices.
Lodeh is a popular, coconut-based vegetable dish, normally eaten with ‘lontong’ (compressed rice). This dish is often served during festive seasons such as ‘Hari Raya’ (Eid Al-Fitr). Common ingredients include long beans, tofu, tempeh (fermented bean) and cabbage.
